In the same way that a regular company can strategically change their market direction, a
creator can change the roadmap to react to both – but not limited to – unpredictable market
situations and change oft he goal of his or her project. The buyer has the option to sell his token
in case he or she does not agree with the changes and might consider to consult a lawyer to help
identify violations of law or reasons for potential compensation claims.

It depends on the specific case. If the creator has clearly indicated this possibility in the
roadmap or in the NFT’s terms, it would be possible to change the roadmap, since the
contractual relationship, within its legal limits, allows the adjustments between parties
concerning the rules they wish to follow under the contract, due to the “principle of the
autonomy of will”. If not, the creator should stick to its promises, as mentioned above.

It is most likely possible to change the roadmap after mint, but it also depends on what has been communicated previously.

Due to the lack of any specific law in this regard, what the law does not forbid, it
allows. It is important to note however that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN)
currently prohibits any act in relation to the printing of mints, as well as any
action within the Blockchain or its Cryptocurrency. The guideline in relation to
this is yet to be challenged in court.

The question of whether a creator can change the roadmap after the NFT mint according to the Polish
law is uncertain and would depend on the specific terms and conditions of the NFT.

In general, under Polish law, a contract between a creator and an NFT purchaser is binding, and the
parties are obligated to fulfill their obligations as outlined in the contract. If the contract includes a
roadmap as part of the purchase of the NFT, the creator would be obligated to follow the roadmap
as outlined in the contract.

However, it’s worth noting that, as the NFT market is not yet fully regulated and the legal status of
NFTs is constantly evolving, it’s important for the purchaser to carefully read and understand the
terms and conditions of the NFT, including any information provided by the creator about the future
development of the project, before making a purchase decision.

If the contract doesn’t include a roadmap or any information about the future development of the the project, the creator would be free to change their plans, and there wouldn’t be any legal remedies for
the NFT holder.
